Water Decals: White Cats

I've been wanting to try water decals for a long time, but they're pretty hard to get ahold of in the states. Naturally, I was elated when I was approached by KKCenterHK to try some of the water decals they sell.

I selected these cat decals because I'm a total cat person. Plus they have a hipster-y vibe that I feel like I'm young enough to rock still.

I've never used water decals before, so I applied them using this tutorial and placed them over China Glaze's Sea Spray. These are pretty easy to apply... you basically just place them on your nail with your finger (after soaking the decals in water) and gently flatten them out. Tearing can happen if you're rough with the decal, but if you're gentle with them and move them slowly you shouldn't have a problem. Bubbles can be an issue if you have wrinkles in the decal and apply your top coat. The top coat pushes the air out from under the decal and then forms a bubble that gets trapped in the top coat. It doesn't happen too often though.

How cute are these?! I'll answer for you: Very cute.

  1. I don't really get the latest trend of nail decals. They look nice but I seen these obama ones and it just takes it too far. Love the car design though, maybe not on nails but I do like the design.
